Membership Levels
Fur and Family First recognises members at different stages of their breeding journey.
Membership levels reflect a commitment to animal welfare, ethical practices, and ongoing education.
Star Members
Star Members are breeders who have demonstrated practical experience in companion dog breeding and a commitment to responsible, welfare-focused practices.
Star Members:

Have undergone independent veterinary audits of their property, records, and dogs

Comply with relevant state and territory animal welfare legislation and codes of practice

Commit to ethical breeding principles and transparency

Engage in ongoing education and professional development
Gold Members
Gold Members are breeders who have demonstrated an advanced level of knowledge, education, and long-term commitment to ethical breeding practices.
Gold Members:

Have completed formal education related to dog breeding, care, and animal welfare

Have undergone independent veterinary audits of their property, records, and dogs
-
Meet applicable state and territory animal welfare standards and codes of practice

Maintain high standards of care, accountability, and lifelong responsibility for their dogs

Our Membership Approach
Fur and Family First maintains a selective membership process focused on animal welfare, accountability, and public trust.
Membership does not replace legal requirements or government regulation and does not involve Fur and Family First in breeder transactions.
